Maple

Maple has been found to provide the best skating surface because, in addition to its natural beauty, it's durable, non splintering, and the closely grained surface that will provide years of quality skating!  We feature the Wall family of floors that have been bringing skaters back to the rinks for four generations!  Our insistence upon high quality standards combined with a thorough knowledge of the secrets of our craft, have earned us a solid reputation for excellence.

In addition to the special techniques we use to install, finish and seal the maple itself, we have developed a unique system - the Wall Free- Floating Floor System.  By separation the substructure, we actually create a free-floating floor.  The surface evenly expands and contracts, and our special underlayment technique makes our floor the quietist and most resistant in the industry.

Finally the Maple Hardwood layed and nailed individually in the pattern of your choice, finely sanded and sealed.  The Free-Floating Floor System can be designed for your specific needs and budget.

Ultra-Board

Ultra-Board is a result of more than 35 years of development to provide you with a quality and cost effective Free Floating skating floor that will greatly enhance your business and please your skating customers!  Ultra-Board skating floors provide an exceptionally smooth and quiet skating surface and are an excellent alternative to hardwood maple flooring where cost is a factor.  Ultra-Board is comprised of two layers of high density board made from specific wood chips mixed with special resins to insure that only the very best board materials are used.  Ultra-Board's unique craftsman like installation provide for increased stability, smoother seams and a significantly stronger and more durable skating floor.  Additionally the foam underlayment helps to insure an ultra smooth skating floor and provides a moisture barrier to help insure longer skating floor life.

After the Ultra-Board is installed, it is carefully sanded, sealed and finished with a combination of epoxy and polyurethane coatings in a variety of colors to provide an almost seamless wood skating surface.

Ultra-Glide Epoxy

Floor Systems' epoxy skating floors provide a practical and cost effective skating surface that can be utilized for all types of skating activities.

Special epoxy materials are utilized and professionally bonded to your concrete floor base.  The epoxy finishes are applied in liquid form and are built up in multiple layers to create a smooth seamless skating floor.  Final applications of polyurethane floor finish are applied in a color of your choice to provide a durable and clean skating surface that will give you a maximum surface life with minimum maintenance.

The concrete floor base should be a monolithic pour and must meet the specified tolerances for levelness and thickness.  The success of every epoxy skating floor depends largely on careful preparation prior to the application of the epoxy polyurethane coatings.  Complete floor specifications are available from our office upon request.
